It supports the use of ADSL downstream spectrum up to 3.75MHz, which is beyond the traditional 1.1MHz range. With the High-Bit-Loading (HBL) feature of the Maximus CO chipset, payload rates up to 50Mbps can be achieved in the extended spectrum. This feature allows DMT tones to carry more than 15 bits per tone, resulting in higher performance ADSL services.
