LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LTC1594/LTC1598 Manual

The LTC1594/LTC1598 are micropower, 12-bit sampling A/D converters that feature 4- and 8-channel multiplexers, respectively. They typically draw only 320µA of supply current when converting and automatically power down to a typical supply current of 1nA between conversions. The LTC1594 is available in a 16-pin SO package and the LTC1598 is packaged in a 24-pin SSOP. Both operate on a 5V supply. The 12-bit, switched-capacitor, successive approximation ADCs include a sample-and-hold. On-chip serial ports allow efficient data transfer to a wide range of microprocessors and microcontrollers over three or four wires. This, coupled with micropower consumption, makes remote location possible and facilitates transmitting data through isolation barriers. The circuit can be used in ratiometric applications or with an external reference. The high impedance analog inputs and the ability to operate with reduced spans (to 1.5V full scale) allow direct connection to sensors and transducers in many applications, eliminating the need for gain stages.

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LTC2436-1 Manual

The LTC ®2436-1 is a 2-channel differential input micropower 16-bit No Latency ∆Σ TM analog-to-digital converter with an integrated oscillator. It provides 0.5 LSB INL and 800 nV RMS noise independent of VREF. The two differential channels convert alternately with a channel identification included in the conversion result. It uses delta-sigma technology and provides single conversion settling of the digital filter. Through a single pin, the LTC2436-1 can be configured for better than 87dB input differential mode rejection at 50Hz and 60Hz ±2%, or it can be driven by an external oscillator for a user defined rejection frequency. The internal oscillator requires no external frequency setting components. The converter accepts any external differential reference voltage from 0.1V to VCC for flexible ratiometric and remote sensing measurement configurations. The full-scale differential input range is from –0.5 •␣VREF to 0.5 • VREF. The reference common mode voltage, VREFCM, and the input common mode voltage, VINCM, may be independently set anywhere between GND and VCC. The DC common mode input rejection is better than 140dB. The LTC2436-1 communicates through a flexible 3-wire digital interface which is compatible with SPI and MICROWIRE TM protocols.

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LTC3778 Manual

The LTC3778 is a synchronous step-down switching regulator controller for computer memory, automobile and other DC/DC power supplies. The controller uses a valley current control architecture to deliver very low duty cycles without requiring a sense resistor. Operating frequency is selected by an external resistor and is compensated for variations in VIN and VOUT. Discontinuous mode operation provides high efficiency operation at light loads. A forced continuous control pin reduces noise and RF interference, and can assist secondary winding regulation when the main output is lightly loaded. SENSE+ and SENSE– pins provide true Kelvin sensing across the optional sense resistor or the sychronous MOSFET. Fault protection includes overcurrent protection, overvoltage protection, thermal shutdown and short-circuit protection.

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LTC1530 Manual

The LTC1530 is a high power synchronous switching regulator controller optimized for 5V to 1.3V-3.5V output applications. Its synchronous switching architecture drives two external N-channel MOSFET devices to provide high efficiency. The LTC1530 contains a precision trimmed reference and feedback system that provides worst-case output voltage regulation of ±2% over temperature, load current and line voltage shifts. Current limit circuitry senses the output current through the on-resistance of the topside N-channel MOSFET, providing an adjustable current limit without requiring an external low value sense resistor. The LTC1530 includes a fixed frequency PWM oscillator that free runs at 300kHz, providing greater than 90% efficiency in converter designs from 1A to 20A of output current. Shutdown mode drops the LTC1530 supply current to 45µA. The LTC1530 is specified for commercial and industrial temperature ranges and is available in the S0-8 package.

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LTC2915/LTC2916 Voltage Supervisor with 27 Selectable Thresholds

LTC2915/LTC2916 are low voltage single-supply monitors with selectable thresholds. The parts operate from 1.5V to 5.5V and consume a quiescent current of only 30μA. Two three-state inputs select one of nine internally programmed thresholds without the need for external resistors. For the LTC2915, an additional three-state input determines the tolerance (-5%, -10%, -15%). The tolerance for the LTC2916 is fixed at -5%. Threshold accuracy is guaranteed at ±1.5% over the entire operating temperature range. Glitch filtering ensures reliable reset operation without false triggering. The reset timeout may be set to 200ms or adjusted using an external capacitor. A separate manual reset input on the LTC2916 allows a simple push button interface. Operation to 125°C makes the LTC2915 and LTC2916 suitable for automotive applications.

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY - LT3501 handbook

The LT3501 is a dual current mode PWM step-down DC/DC converter with two internal 3.5A switches. It features independent input voltage, feedback, soft-start, and power good pins for each channel, simplifying complex power supply tracking/sequencing requirements. The converters can be synchronized to a common external clock input or a resistor programmable fixed 250kHz to 1.5MHz internal oscillator. The channels maintain a 180° phase relationship at all frequencies, reducing voltage ripple and component size. The programmable frequency allows for optimization between efficiency and external component size. The switch can stay on through multiple clock cycles, only switching off when the boost capacitor needs recharging, resulting in a maximum duty cycle of ~95% and improved minimum input-to-output voltage ratios. Each output can be independently disabled using its own soft-start pin, or the entire part can be placed in low quiescent current shutdown mode using the SHDN pin. The LT3501 is available in a 20-lead TSSOP package with an exposed leadframe for low thermal resistance.

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY - LT3010/LT3010-5 handbook

The LT3010/LT3010-5 is a high voltage, micropower low dropout linear regulator capable of supplying 50mA output current with a dropout voltage of 300mV. Designed for use in battery-powered or high voltage systems, the low quiescent current (30μA operating and 1μA in shutdown) makes the LT3010 an ideal choice. Quiescent current is also well controlled in dropout. Other features of the LT3010 include the ability to operate with very small output capacitors. The regulators are stable with only 1μF on the output while most older devices re- quire between 10μF and 100μF for stability. Small ceramic capacitors can be used without the necessary addition of ESR as is common with other regulators. Internal protec- tion circuitry includes reverse-battery protection, current limiting, thermal limiting and reverse current protection. The device is available in a fi xed output voltage of 5V and as an adjustable device with a 1.275V reference voltage. The LT3010 regulator is available in the 8-lead MSOP pack- age with an exposed pad for enhanced thermal handling capability.
