maxim MAX7381 Manual

The MAX7381 is a silicon oscillator intended as a low-cost improvement to ceramic resonators, crystals, and crystal oscillator modules as the clock source for microcontrollers and UARTs in 3V, 3.3V, and 5V applications. The MAX7381 is an integrated oscillator, supplied at specific frequencies, just like crystals and resonators, and with a rail-to-rail, 50%, duty-cycle square-wave output. The oscillator frequency is generated directly without the use of a phase-locked loop (PLL). No additional components are required for setting or adjusting the frequency. Unlike typical crystal and ceramic resonator oscillator circuits, the MAX7381 is resistant to vibration and EMI. The high output-drive current and absence of high-impedance nodes make the oscillator invulnerable to dirty or humid operating conditions. With a wide operating temperature range as standard, the oscillator is a good choice for demanding appliance and automotive environments. The MAX7381 is available with frequencies in the 10MHz to 16MHz range. The MAX7381 is offered in a space-saving 3-pin SC70 package. All ICs are guaranteed to operate over the -55°C to +135°C temperature range and specified from the -40°C to +125°C temperature range.

maxim MAX7377 Manual

The MAX7377 is a dual-speed silicon oscillator with reset that is a replacement for ceramic resonators, crystals, crystal oscillator modules, and discrete reset circuits. The device provides the primary and secondary clock source for microcontrollers in 3V, 3.3V, and 5V applications. The MAX7377 features a factory-programmed high-speed oscillator, a 32.768kHz oscillator, and a clock selector input. The clock output can be switched at any time between the high-speed clock and the 32.768kHz clock for low-power operation. Switchover is synchronized internally to provide glitch-free clock switching. Unlike typical crystal and ceramic resonator oscillator circuits, the MAX7377 is resistant to vibration and EMI. The high-output-drive current and absence of high- impedance nodes make the oscillator less susceptible to dirty or humid operating conditions. With a wide operating temperature range as standard, the MAX7377 is a good choice for demanding home appliance, industrial, and automotive environments. The MAX7377 is available in factory-programmed frequencies from 32.768kHz to 10MHz. See Table 1 for standard frequencies and contact the factory for custom frequencies. The MAX7377 is available in a 5-pin SOT23 package. Refer to the MAX7383 data sheet for frequencies ≥10MHz. The MAX7377 standard operating tempera- ture range is -40°C to +125°C. See the Applications Information section for the extended operating temper- ature range.

MAXIM MAX724/MAX726 Manual

MAX724/MAX726 are 5A/2A step-down, PWM, switch-mode DC-DC regulators optimized for step-down applications. These regulators employ a classic buck topology and can perform high-current step-down functions, but can also be configured as inverters, negative boost converters, or flyback converters. These regulators have excellent dynamic and transient response characteristics, while featuring cycle-by-cycle current limiting to protect against overcurrent faults and short-circuit output faults. The MAX724/MAX726 also have a wide 8V to 40V input range in the buck step-down configuration. In inverting and boost configurations, the input can be as low as 5V. The MAX724/MAX726 are available in a 5-pin TO-220 package. The devices have a preset 100kHz oscillator frequency and a preset current limit of 6.5A (MAX724) or 2.6A (MAX726).

MAXIM MAX710/MAX711 Guide

The MAX710/MAX711 is a step-up DC-DC converter with a linear regulator integrated to provide step-up/down voltage conversion. They are optimized for battery applications where the input varies above and below the regulated output voltage. They have an input range from +1.8V to +11V. Typical efficiency when boosting battery inputs is 85%. The MAX710/MAX711 can be configured for minimum noise or optimum efficiency. Shutdown control turns off the part completely, disconnecting the input from the output (ISHDN = 0.2µA). Standby control turns off only the step-up converter and leaves the low-power linear regulator active (IQ = 7µA).
