It is kept the low level at any output voltage. RP112x is suitable for the power source for the portable music player and RF module that demands for higher level of noise reduction. RICOH RP110x SERIES Manual

The RP110x Series is a voltage regulator (LDO) IC, which has been developed using the CMOS process technology, with high output voltage accuracy, ultra-low supply current, and low ON-resistance transistor. The IC contains the following components: a voltage reference unit, an error amplifier, a resistor-net for output voltage setting, a current limit circuit for preventing short-circuit, a soft-start circuit, and a chip enable circuit. By minimizing the supply current to 1µA, the IC is able to prolong the battery life of each system. The external capacitor is 0.1µF with phase compensation. The IC also has a constant slope circuit as a soft-start circuit, which does not require any external capacitor. It minimizes the inrush current and prevents the output voltage overshoot at the start-up. In addition to the small packaged SOT-23-5 and SC-88A, the RP110x Series offers the ultra-small DFN(PLP)0808-4 package and DFN1010-4, which enables the high density mounting of LDO regulator.

The R1514x series are CMOS-based positive voltage regulator (VR) ICs featuring 150mA output current. The R1514xxxxB has features of high input voltage and ultra-low supply current. A peak current limit circuit, a short current limit circuit, and a thermal shutdown circuit are built in the R1514x series. The operating temperature is −40°C to 105°C and the maximum input voltage is 36V, the R1514x series are very suitable for power source of car accessories. The regulator output voltage is fixed in the R1514xxxxB and can be selected with a step of 0.1V in the range of 2.0V to 12.0V. Output voltage accuracy is ±2%. The packages for these ICs are the SOT-89-5 for space saving and the HSOP-6J for higher power applications.

The R1516x Series 150mA 36V Input LDO Regulator is a CMOS-based high-voltage resistant and low supply current voltage regulator IC that provides the minimum 150mA of output voltage. Internally, the R1516x Series consists of a Foldback Protection Circuit, and a Thermal Shutdown Circuit in addition to the basic regulator circuits. The operating temperature range is between –40ºC to 105ºC, and the maximum input voltage is 36V. All these features allow the R1516x Series to become an ideal power source of electric home appliances. The R1516x Series are available in fixed output voltage options between 1.8V and 6.2V in 0.1V steps. The output voltage accuracy is ±1%. The R1516x Series are available in two types of packages: SOT-89-5 that is for high-density mounting and HSOP-6J that is for high wattage.
