LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LTC1052/LTC7652 handbook

The LTC1052 and LTC7652 are low noise zero-drift op amps manufactured using Linear Technology’s enhanced LTCMOS silicon gate process. Chopper-stabilization constantly corrects offset voltage errors. Both initial offset and changes in the offset due to time, temperature and common mode voltage are corrected. This, coupled with picoampere input currents, gives these amplifiers unmatched performance. Low frequency (1/f) noise is also improved by the chopping technique. Instead of increasing continuously at a 3dB/octave rate, the internal chopping causes noise to decrease at low frequencies. The chopper circuitry is entirely internal and completely transparent to the user. Only two external capacitors are required to alternately sample-and-hold the offset correction voltage and the amplified input signal. Control circuitry is brought out on the 14-pin and 16-pin versions to allow the sampling of the LTC1052 to be synchronized with an external frequency source.

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LTC1474/LTC1475 handbook

The LTC1474/LTC1475 is a high efficiency step-down converter with internal P-channel MOSFET power switches that draw only 10µA typical DC supply current at no load while maintaining output voltage. The LTC1474 uses logic-controlled shutdown while the LTC1475 features pushbutton on/off. The low supply current coupled with Burst ModeTM operation enables the LTC1474/LTC1475 to maintain high efficiency, even with output voltages ranging from 3V to 18V and load currents up to 400mA.

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LT1307/LT1307B handbook

The LT1307/LT1307B are micropower, fixed frequency DC/DC converters that operate from an input voltage as low as 1V. First in the industry to achieve true current mode PWM performance from a single cell supply, the LT1307 features automatic shifting to power saving Burst Mode operation at light loads. High efficiency is main- tained over a broad 100µA to 100mA load range. The LT1307B does not shift into Burst Mode operation at light loads, eliminating low frequency output ripple at the expense of light load efficiency. The devices contain a low- battery detector with a 200mV reference and shut down to less than 5µA. No load quiescent current of the LT1307 is 50µA and the internal NPN power switch handles a 500mA current with a voltage drop of just 295mV. Unlike competitive devices, large electrolytic capacitors are not required with the LT1307/LT1307B in single cell applications. The high frequency (600kHz) switching al- lows the use of tiny surface mount multilayer ceramic (MLC) capacitors along with small surface mount induc- tors. The devices work with just 10µF of output capaci- tance and require only 1µF of input bypassing. The LT1307/LT1307B are available in 8-lead MSOP, PDIP and SO packages.

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LT6300 handbook

The LT6300 is a 500mA minimum output current, dual op amp with outstanding distortion performance. Amplifiers are gain-of-ten stable, but can be easily compensated for lower gains. Extended output swing allows for lower supply rails to reduce system power. Supply current is set with an external resistor to optimize power dissipation. The LT6300 features balanced, high impedance inputs with low input bias current and input offset voltage. Active termination is easily implemented for further system power reduction. Short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown insure the device’s ruggedness. The outputs drive a 100Ω load to ±10.9V with ±12V supplies, and ±10.7V with a 250mA load. The LT6300 is a functional replacement for the LT1739 and LT1794 in xDSL line driver applications and requires no circuit changes. The LT6300 is available in the very small, thermally enhanced, 16-lead SSOP package (same PCB area as the SO-8 package).

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LTC1735 Manual

The LTC1735 is a synchronous step-down switching regulator controller that drives external N-channel power MOSFETs using a fixed frequency architecture. Burst Mode operation provides high efficiency at low load currents. The precision 0.8V reference is compatible with future generation microprocessors. OPTI-LOOP compensation allows the transient response to be optimized over a wide range of output capacitance and ESR values. The operating frequency (synchronizable up to 500kHz) is set by an external capacitor allowing maximum flexibility in optimizing efficiency. A forced continuous control pin reduces noise and RF interference and can assist secondary winding regulation by disabling Burst Mode operation when the main output is lightly loaded. Protection features include internal foldback current limiting, output overvoltage crowbar and optional short-circuit shutdown. Soft-start is provided by an external capacitor that can be used to properly sequence supplies. The operating current level is user-programmable via an external current sense resistor. Wide input supply range allows operation from 4V to 30V (36V maximum).

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY - LTC4110 handbook

The LTC4110 is a complete single chip, high efficiency, flyback battery charge and discharge manager with automatic switchover between the input supply and the backup battery or super capacitor. The IC provides four modes of operation: battery backup, battery charge, battery calibration, and shutdown. Battery backup and battery charge are automatic standalone modes, while the optional calibration mode requires a CPU host to communicate over an SMBus. During calibration, the flyback charger is used in reverse to discharge the battery with a programmable constant current into the system load eliminating heat generation. Three status outputs can be individually reconfigured over the SMBus to become GPIOs. User programmable over-discharge protection is provided. The SHDN pin isolates the battery to support shipping the product with a charged battery installed. Multiple LTC4110s can be combined to form a redundant battery backup system or increase the number of battery packs to achieve longer backup run times. The LTC4110 is available in a low profile (0.75mm), 38-pin 5mm × 7mm QFN package. The QFN features an exposed metal die mount pad for optimum thermal performance.
