LM48511 integrates a boost converter with a high efficiency Class D audio power amplifier to provide 3W continuous power into an 8Ω speaker when operating from a 5V power supply. When operating from a 3V to 4V power supply, the LM48511 can be configured to drive 1 to 2.5W into an 8Ω load with less than 1% distortion (THD+N). The Class D amplifier features a low noise PWM architecture that eliminates the output filter, reducing external component count, board area consumption, system cost, and simplifying design. A selectable spread spectrum modulation scheme suppresses RF emissions, further reducing the need for output filters. The LM48511's switching regulator is a current-mode boost converter operating at a fixed frequency of 1MHz. Two selectable feedback networks allow the LM48511 regulator to dynamically switch between two different output voltages, improving efficiency by optimizing the amplifier's supply voltage based on battery voltage and output power requirements. The LM48511 is designed for use in portable devices, such as GPS, mobile phones, and MP3 players. The high, 80% efficiency at 5V, extends battery life when compared to Boosted Class AB amplifiers. Independent regulator and amplifier shutdown controls optimize power savings by disabling the regulator when high output power is not required.

NATIONAL SEMICONDUCTOR LM5035 PWM Controller with Integrated Half-Bridge SyncFET Drivers Manual

The LM5035 Half-Bridge Controller/Gate Driver contains all of the features necessary to implement half-bridge topology power converters using voltage mode control with line voltage feed-forward. The floating high-side gate driver is capable of operating with supply voltages up to 105V. Both the high-side and low-side gate drivers are capable of 2A peak. An internal high voltage startup regulator is included, along with programmable line undervoltage lockout (UVLO) and overvoltage protection (OVP). The oscillator is programmed with a single resistor to frequencies up to 2MHz. The oscillator can also be synchronized to an external clock. A current sense input and a programmable timer provide cycle-by-cycle cur- rent limit and adjustable hiccup mode overload protection.

The DS25BR120 is a single channel 3.125 Gbps LVDS buffer optimized for high-speed signal transmission over lossy FR-4 printed circuit board backplanes and balanced metallic cables. Fully differential signal paths ensure exceptional signal integrity and noise immunity. The DS25BR120 features four levels of pre-emphasis (PE) for use as an optimized driver device. Other LVDS devices with similar IO characteristics include the following products. The DS25BR110 features four levels of equalization for use as an optimized receiver device, while the DS25BR100 features both pre-emphasis and equalization for use as an optimized repeater device. The DS25BR150 is a buffer/repeater with the lowest power consumption and does not feature transmit pre-emphasis nor receive equalization. Wide input common mode range allows the receiver to accept signals with LVDS, CML and LVPECL levels; the output levels are LVDS. A very small package footprint requires minimal space on the board while the flow-through pinout allows easy board layout. The differential inputs and outputs are internally terminated with a 100Ω resistor to lower device input and output return losses, reduce component count and further minimize board space.

NATIONAL LM2717 Manual

The LM2717 is a dual step-down DC/DC converter composed of two PWM DC/DC buck (step-down) converters. The first converter is used to generate a fixed output voltage of 3.3V. The second converter is used to generate an adjustable output voltage. Both converters feature low RDSON (0.16Ω) internal switches for maximum efficiency. Operating frequency can be adjusted anywhere between 300kHz and 600kHz allowing the use of small external components. External soft-start pins for each enables the user to tailor the soft-start times to a specific application. Each converter may also be shut down independently with its own shutdown pin. The LM2717 is available in a low profile 24-lead TSSOP package ensuring a low profile overall solution.

LM9076 is a ±3%, 150mA logic controlled voltage regulator. The regulator features an active low delayed reset output flag which can be used to reset a microprocessor system at turn-ON and in the event that the regulator output voltage falls below a minimum value. Designed for automotive and industrial applications, the LM9076 contains a variety of protection features such as thermal shutdown, input transient protection and a wide operating temperature range. The LM20343 is a 36V, 3A adjustable frequency synchronous buck regulator with high performance and ease of use. The device is optimized to work over the input voltage range of 4.5V to 36V, making it well suited for high voltage systems. The device features internal Over Voltage Protection (OVP) and Over Current Protection (OCP) circuits for increased system reliability. A precision Enable pin and integrated UVLO allows the turn on of the device to be tightly controlled and sequenced. Startup inrush currents are limited by both an internally fixed and externally adjustable soft-start circuit. Fault detection and supply sequencing are possible with the integrated power good (PGOOD) circuit. By connecting an external resistor from the RT pin to ground, the frequency of this device can be adjusted from 250 kHz to 1.0 MHz. The LM20343 is designed to work well in multi-rail power supply architectures. The output voltage of the device can be configured to track a higher voltage rail using the SS/TRK pin. If the output of the LM20343 is pre-biased at startup, it will not sink current to pull the output low until the internal soft-start ramp exceeds the voltage at the feedback pin. The LM20343 is offered in an exposed pad 20-pin eTSSOP package that can be soldered.
