NATIONAL SEMICONDUCTOR LMH6514 600 MHz Digital Controlled Variable Gain Amplifier Manual

The LMH6514 is a high performance, digitally controlled variable gain amplifier (DVGA). It combines precision gain control with a low noise, ultra-linear, differential amplifier. The LMH6514 drives a high performance ADC in a broad range of mixed signal and digital communication applications such as mobile radio and cellular base stations where auto- matic gain control (AGC) is required to increase system dy- namic range. When used in conjunction with a high speed ADC, system dynamic range can be extended by up to 42 dB. The LMH6514 has a differential input and output allowing large signal swings on a single 5V supply. It is designed to accept signals from RF elements and maintain a terminated impedance environment. The input impedance is 200Ω re- sistive. The output impedance is either 200Ω or 400Ω and is user selectable. A unique internal architecture allows use with both single ended and differential input signals. Input signals to the LMH6514 are scaled by a highly linear, digitally controlled attenuator with seven accurate 6 dB steps. The attenuator output provides the input signal for a high gain, ultra linear differential transconductor. The transconductor differential output current can be converted into a voltage by using the on-chip 200Ω or 400Ω loads. The transconductance gain is 0.1 Amp/Volt resulting in a maximum voltage gain of +32 dB when driving a 200

NATIONAL SEMICONDUCTOR DS10CP154A handbook

The DS10CP154A is a 1.5 Gbps 4x4 LVDS crosspoint switch optimized for high-speed signal routing and switching over FR-4 printed circuit board backplanes and balanced cables. Fully differential signal paths ensure exceptional signal integrity and noise immunity. The non-blocking architecture allows connections of any input to any output or outputs. The switch configuration can be accomplished via external pins or the System Management Bus (SMBus) interface. In addition, the SMBus circuitry enables the loss of signal (LOS) monitors that can inform a system of the presence of an open inputs condition (e.g. disconnected cable). Wide input common mode range allows the switch to accept signals with LVDS, CML and LVPECL levels; the output levels are LVDS. A very small package footprint requires a minimal space on the board while the flow-through pinout allows easy board layout. Each differential input and output is internally terminated with a 100Ω resistor to lower return losses, reduce component count and further minimize board space.

NATIONAL SEMICONDUCTOR -LM2751 Regulated 2X 1.5X Switched Capacitor White LED Driver handbook

The LM2751 is a 2X, 1.5X regulated switched capacitor white LED driver. It offers 4.5V and 5.0V regulated output voltage options and provides up to 150mA of output current in the 2.8V to 5.5V input voltage range, requiring only four low-cost ceramic capacitors. It provides excellent efficiency without the use of an inductor by operating the charge pump in a gain of 3/2 or 2. The proper gain for maintaining regulation is chosen so that efficiency is maximized over the input voltage range. The LM2751 uses constant frequency pre-regulation to minimize conducted noise on the input and provide a predictable switching frequency. The switching frequency is programmable to 725kHz, 300kHz, 37kHz, or 9.5kHz. The LM2751 is available in a 10-pin Leadless Leadframe No-Pullback package: LLP-10.
