Update: 30 September, 2023

Sony HVR-Z7C and HVR-S270C are two new professional HDV camcorders that offer interchangeable lens system, real progressive scan recording and solid state storage. HVR-Z7C is the world's first handheld HDV camcorder with 1/3 inch lens mount interchangeable lens, while HVR-S270C shoulder-mounted camcorder offers longer recording time with standard tape. Using the supplied record storage unit, HDV/DVCAM/DV files can be recorded on the highly compatible CompactFlash® solid state storage card, thereby creating a new non-linear editing workflow. These new camcorders are capable of 1080/30p HDV real progressive scan recording and have HDMI or HD/SD-SDI HD digital signal output capability. New generation HDV camcorder system also includes HVR-M35C tape recorder, which can output HD/SD-SDI. Sony's next generation HDV solution further enhances the operability of Sony's professional HDV product line, opening a new chapter in high-definition program production. Whether it is for documentary, news, low-cost movies, MV, online video and educational programs, or various industrial applications, Sony's new HDV camcorder system is an ideal choice.
