ST ACS108 Overvoltage protected AC switch (ACS ) handbook

The ACS108 is an AC switch with overvoltage protection, using overvoltage crowbar technology to meet IEC 61000-4-5 surge requirements. It has high noise immunity against static dV/dt and IEC 61000-4-4 burst. It does not require external protection snubber or varistor, reducing component count by up to 80%. It interfaces directly with the micro-controller and supports connection of several alternating current switches on the same cooling pad. It is suitable for alternating current on/off static switching in appliances and industrial control systems, as well as driving low power high inductive or resistive loads.
