FAIRCHILD FST162245 handbook

The FST162245 is a 16-bit bus switch with high-speed CMOS TTL compatibility. The low on-resistance of the switch allows inputs to be connected to outputs without adding propagation delay or generating additional ground bounce noise. The device consists of two 8-bit switches with separate output enable inputs. When OE is low, the switch is on and Port A is connected to Port B. When OE is high, the switch is off and a high impedance state exists between Port A and Port B. The FST162245 has equivalent 25-ohm series resistors to reduce signal-reflection noise, eliminating the need for external terminating resistors.
