intersil X9420 Low Noise/Low Power/SPI Bus handbook
Update: 01 October, 2023
The X9420 is a low noise/low power/SPI Bus single digitally controlled (XDCP™) potentiometer with a SPI serial interface. The potentiometer has a register-oriented format that enables direct read/write/transfer of wiper positions and storage of as many as four positions per potentiometer. The potentiometer is powered by VCC = 2.7V to 5.5V, V+ = 2.7V to 5.5V, and V– = -2.7V to -5.5V. The potentiometer is a CMOS device with standby current of less than 1 µA. The potentiometer is highly reliable and can withstand 100,000 data changes per bit per register and register data retention of 100 years. The potentiometer has 8 bytes of nonvolatile EEPROM memory. The potentiometer's resistor arrays are 10kΩ or 2.5kΩ. The potentiometer's resolution is 64 taps per pot. The potentiometer's packages are 14Ld TSSOP and 16Ld SOIC. The potentiometer is available with lead-free and annealed finishes and is RoHS compliant.
