This datasheet describes the features and applications of the Microchip TC77 temperature sensor. The TC77 is a low-cost, small-form-factor digital temperature sensor with a SPI and MICROWIRE compatible interface that can operate over a 2.7 V to 5.5 V power supply voltage. Typical applications include hard disk drive and other PC peripheral thermal protection, notebook computer PC card devices, low-cost thermostat controls, industrial control, office equipment, cellular phones, and thermistor replacement.
