The SSM2335 is a fully integrated, high efficiency, filterless 3W mono Class-D audio amplifier. It features Σ-Δ modulation and allows for the use of multiple Class-D amplifiers from Analog Devices without the need for synchronization. It can deliver 3W into a 3Ω load and 1.4W into an 8Ω load at a supply voltage of 5.0V with less than 1% total harmonic distortion (THD + N). The efficiency reaches 93% at 5.0V with 1.4W into an 8Ω speaker, and the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is greater than 96dB. It operates from a single supply voltage ranging from 2.5V to 5.5V and has an ultralow shutdown current of 20nA. It includes short-circuit and thermal protection and is suitable for use in mobile phones, MP3 players, portable gaming devices, portable electronics, and educational toys.
